Well if only the front panel digitzer is broken you should get apple logo or any image when you turn it on or charge it. Chosen Solution Contacts have been cleaned, but were not dirty or greasy. Upon closing of the battery door, the red light on the rear of the camera flashes once. Then by switching on the camera “cannot create folder” appears on the display. This disappears after switching OFF and ON again. Pushing the exposure button the ERR 001 appears. The battery discharged quickly even with the camera OFF. To me it looks like a short circuit somewhere....

Chosen Solution Working on unit now. Replaced thermal switch, now fan is out of control. Checked door switches. Top one may be faulty. Two bottom ones OK. What controls the fan and its speed? If you replaced the thermal switch, thats probably your issue, put the old one back and see if it makes a difference. if it does, they the switch is faulty and you need a new one

Turns out the spring was not even on the carbon piece and now i cannot get the carbon brush out of the machine.
