Chosen Solution My Chromebook is not charging even when I plug it in, how can I charge it and turn it on? This will suck. Remove sd card. Power off. Hold volume - and power on. Conferm prompts. You should be in. The suck part is this hard start restors the device to stock. All is lost save what was saved to sd. All ways save every thing to sd card....

Chosen Solution Good day everyone, My relatives have this 27" imac they were using up until it randomly started displaying coloured bars on the screen. I have since been attempting to diagnose this (With a trusty ifixit kit and some PC knowledge), but nothing has availed and it remains this way. I tried plugging in a USB keyboard but it does not receive power (AKA the caps lock and all other functions don’t work) yet plugging in my samsung SSD it powers just fine over the USB ports but it doesn’t show data reading....

Chosen Solution Hi. I’m not sure what just happened. I cleaned my screen with a tiny bit of water, but I guess there might have been a bit too much. I guess I was pressing down on the cloth to get rid of something in the corner. I’ve done this many times before without issue, but now there is a huge light blotch in the left corner of my screen. There is an odd rectangular shape near the bottom too that doesn’t make much sense....

Chosen Solution Look closely at the trackpad connector on the board. I only say this because upon close inspection of the board in my 2015 MacBook Pro 13 inch, I see the far right end of the trackpad connector is broken. The end that anchors the cable to the board and the first one or two of the pins may have separated from their pads. Since I doubt my client has opened the back of his computer, I suspect the damage was simply caused from excess pressure applied to the bottom of the computer....

Chosen Solution I can switch this dehumidifier on after turning it off & on again at the socket to allow the control board capacitors to drain, and the compressor does start up, but then after 10 seconds it stops, and both the indicator lights for tank-full status (red) and defrost cycle (orange/amber/yellow-ish) flash at the same time. The operating manual does not mention this error. I have checked that the bucket is properly seated and the fill-switch works - when the bucket is removed, only the red full status LED blinks, and the compressor will not start at all if I power up the device in that state....

Chosen Solution I dropped my phone in some water a few days ago and after rescuing it put it in rice for two days. It worked ok for about an hour but then the screen started having ghost touches and then went black. I know it still turns on and off as it vibrates when the power is turned on but I can’t see anything. I would like to know if I could just replace the LCD and digitizer or if this seems like a deeper issue and I shouldn’t bother with a repair....

Thanks @glynrdskynrd, Glen Burgess, The glass is different between S7 and the S7 Active which means the assy would be a different part #. I could not say for sure if the S7 screen would fit properly. I did not see a replacement screen assy. for the S7 Active in the listings at the iFixit store....

Chosen Solution Device started few months ago not staying on. Found that it would work just fine as long as the charger was connected. Battery does charge okay. Stays charged if powered off. Get to boot and see home screen for less than a minute when charger is not plugged in. Plug in charger and it boots fine and is useable as long as connected to charger. All settings look normal....

Chosen Solution My iMac screen corrupted after wake up from sleep mode. Does this mean I need to replace the graphic card / logic board? If there are some stripes like on your original one, then its the graphic card and it needs reballing. If there isnt any stripes on external screen than its your LCD....

Chosen Solution Seen some videos on how to do Dell, Acer, etc. What I am worried about is if the LCD and Backlight are glued together in this model. An iFixit teardown would be great. This company charges premium prices, and has a very limited warranty that does not cover dust. They want $1200 to replace the entire lcd panel. Hi, How old is the monitor? If it is more than 5 years old ignore the following ;-) According to this there is a 5 year warranty on the main body and LCD panel, subject to a usage time of 30,000 hours or less....
