However the lightning symbol representing ‘charging’ wasn’t showing, yet the numbers were slowly growing as normal. When I used an app which takes a lot of battery for it’s graphics, the charging stopped going up. Anyway, some systems route the keyboard through the trackpad, so it’s not uncommon for both to quit responding when one of the two components fails, but as far as I can tell on your system the connections are separate, so it’s not clear why they would both fail at the same time....

Chosen Solution I was attempting a digitizer-only replacement on this iPad Air 2 and I finally got the face off of the thing and I think that the LCD came apart. Will I need to replace the LCD now too? Not sure if you can tell from the images, but both sides have cracks :) It’s not just the cracks, I think you literally butchered the LCD and cut it open right in the middle....
