When I received it, I tried it out and it worked so no problem up until I was making the casing for the monitor and I dropped the back-light inverter hard on the floor. So now it doesn’t work. My question is then: Can I take the back-light inverter, from my Mac Book and maybe do some wiring so that the new control board can send power to the old inverter?...

At first it turned on for a sec before turning back off , while using the controll pad. I tryied the washer trick and now it wont turn on at all with the controller....

Washers nowadays usually just have one accessible one and that is the water pump filter. The easiest way I have found for accessing the bootloader / fastboot on most Android phones is to install ADB (a part of Android Studio) and enable Debugging on the phone. With debugging enabled and ADB installed plug your phone into your computer, open a terminal / command prompt window and type “adb devices”, without quotes, and hit enter. If it lists your phone then we can proceed with “adb reboot bootloader”, also without quotes....

Chosen Solution I had the same thing happen to me. The larger black top piece (containing the boards) has and input for a half inch long data cable. The data (ribbon) cable is on the piece below. Make sure to insert the data cable into the slot. It’s important to close the flap on the slot for the cable to work. Be patient and you can do it. My 10 year old son was persistent and did it on the 3rd try....

First try cleaning the contacts with 99% isopropyl alcohol. If that doesn’t work consider replacing the ribbon cable....

Chosen Solution Hello. I have a Hanukkah Sweater which has a battery pack (it runs on flat 2032 batteries) that connect to 9 LED bulbs that flash different colors. Last year, I noticed that one of the wires in the battery pack came loose and this year I decided to fix it. I tried replacing both the batteries and the battery pack without success. Both my sisters and my mom have the same sweater and were able to use the same replacements successfully in theirs, so I think the issue might be with the sweater itself....

What can I do? You can try to repair the button using this guide here. However, the corrosion may have permanently damaged the button which will require a motherboard replacement. You can’t buy new motherboards, but if you can find a calculator with damaged screen, the motherboard is still probably OK and you can salvage it out of the broken calculator....
