Chosen Solution Chain turn off and on broke off @roymontano ,Roy v.Montano , Remove the light fixture housing from the fan, then unscrew the screws where the light fixture attaches to the fan assembly(trim cover). Switch where the pull chain attaches should now be visible and can be removed. Install the new switch with the pull chain through the housing and tighten the connection. Chosen Solution So I picked up this 2012 MacBook Pro,Upon plugging it in I hear a click every 1/2 second, And the light on the MagSafe charger is going crazy from green to orange within milliseconds over and over,I assume this is a MagSafe Board Issue? @danj - What do you think? Update 9/2/2022: @beanman56 unfortunately im not @danj but is it doing this on multiple chargers and is the charger all they way in the wall iv see this happen if the charger isn’t in the wall properly:-)
Chosen Solution Hi I have a commercial coolroom refrigeration unit that is overloading my start capacitor and blowing it up. As far as I understand it, the start capacitor should only automatically cut in for 1-2 seconds at start up, however it appears the circuit is not cutting off the the start capacitor but rather continuing to draw from it until it overheats and explodes about a minute later. I can manually disconnect the start capacitor after the unit starts up, but as the unit is temperature and pressure controlled, it is impractical for me to try and be there to manually disconnect the start capacitor every 10 min or so when it turns on....

Inside light stopped working at the same time this started. dgd8 sounds like the lid switch is somehow failed/disengaged. Chosen Solution I have an old Mac Mini 2014. The fan goes on the moment the system powers up, and it never goes off. What are some possible issues for me to check? Does the fan shut off once you shut the machine down? You may want to check it for dust build up. My brother in law’s PS4 was running hot and the fan was extremely loud until he removed the case, cleaned out the dust and sprayed compressed air throughout the console and it works fine now....
Chosen Solution Just curious, what is your favourite device to work on. Whether it be due to the ease of repairs or the most durable? Does it have to be phones? What about other electronic or even non-electronic devices? For electronic devices I prefer some challenge but not too hard. I was able to refurbish iPhone 5 almost perfectly, went unnoticed at Genius Bar on several occasions (not that they checked against modifications that closely back then) so it became too easy for me, just like laptops....
