Now the battery icon shows the battery at 100%, but the power adapter LED is always amber, and the computer shuts off immediately if the power adapter is removed. Yesterday it flew into a clean toilet bowl of water for 5 seconds - dried it quickly, riced still no dice, 24 hours later have taken back off but damaged the gold/orange battery +/- connector (slight tear) is screwed in so stopped! unsure if I now have to replace this AS well as the battery. ..there was some damp still in phone when I took the back off, do I continue taking the battery out in hope of drying it?...

Chosen Solution Hello iPhone X after replacing the rear glass has stopped working FaceID (the function is temporarily unavailable). I will add that everything was ok before the repair. What I also noticed, you have to wait long enough for the rear / front camera to run. It takes about 10sec. First the black image is displayed and then the view from the camera. The image is sharp and clear. The same happens with the flashlight....
Chosen Solution I replaced the back camera thinking that was the issue. It was not. I cant hear anything on a normal call. No ringing or voices. When I call my wife’s phone it rings and when she picks up…nothing. However FaceTime audio is all good. Calls are 100%. Did the hard reset, did the software update, just need to know what to replace to end this nightmare I would try replacing the proximity sensor ear speaker you will lose face ID but It might fix the issue
