I have a Chevy Volt and I did not want to take off the dashboard to connect a subwoofer as there is no dedicated subwoofer rca plug on the radio box. And I can’t buy a new one because there is no place to put it. So I went ahead and took an rca to aux cord from the subwoofer amp that connects to a splitter which connects to my phone....

Chosen Solution It makes the noise fine but when closing the tray it goes in, refuses to read a disk, and then tries to reopen instantly and gets stuck Without seeing the mechanism itself, I can’t say for sure what the actual problem is for your unit. However, a few possibilities: It sounds like the loading sequence is not completing which will result in the immediate ejection of the disk. If the tray goes in smoothly but does not come out that way, it suggests that one of the gears inside is damaged....
