Hello, I did the battery replacement for my 5th gen Ipod video. Everything is working, except that I now have a glitch screen. A lot of colors, etc, with the text very faint underneath. I want to fix this! Again, everything else is working fine.
@hs33 OI am really not sure about a glitch screen, but it sure sounds to me like either a bad display or a bad connection. Make sure that you have the ribbon cable is properly inserted and that the locking clasp is closed. Without that, the screen does not get a proper signal. Have you bought the correct battery? There are two types, fat and slim. If you have too big a battery it will put pressure on the back of the screen resulting in what you’re seeing.
