Chosen Solution
As warned in the instructions, the glass and plastic separated and now I do not know how to get the plastic assembly out of the metal case. Photo of my current status attached.
Any suggestions about how to continue with the repair?
The glass has come away from the plastic bezel, so you have removed half the screen assembly basically. You need to remove the plastic bezel from the phone by sticking a thin tool between the plastic and casing (for example, a painting knife), then unclipping this from the casing
You can also try to glue the glass back on the plastic bezel and then try again whit a suction cup to separate it from the back housing.
