Hey! Sometimes when I’m using my monitor some a couple of horizontal lines show up but they disappear after a couple of seconds and then they come back and so on. anyone who knows how I can fix this?
In the image, you can see the horizontal lines. I find it very weird because the lines aren’t always there Thanks!
iebe.1 could be an error with the LCD driver board (which is considered part of the panel) or a loose cables somewhere. See if you have a flat ribbon cables that is attached to the panel in the same are as the lines. If so, exert some pressure on it with the display on. . If that helps, you know that those “TABs” are coming loose.
I have similar problem on a similar ThinkVision. Some LCD panels have plugs for the ribbon cables, but I have opened this monitor and they are glued to the PCB instead of having plugs. It will take a change of the panel I’m afraid, unless you know how to deal with those connections. Other than that it is the signals for the lines that are problematic and there is a trick to cancel them from one side of the panel. They are sent from both sides, so by using a piece of sellotape you can achieve that on most panels. Check on youtube this funny way of repair. I gave up on mine and will tolerate it for a while and will dump it at the end.
