I was cooking a spaghetti squash in my 2 year old GE Profile microwave. After about 10 minutes, the squash exploded, the microwave went dead and the breaker was tripped. I reset the breaker, had power to the microwave and tried again. The microwave stopped after 1 second and tripped the breaker again. I repeated this with the same results. Can thiis be fixed or should I buying a new microwave?
Most of us here do nor recommend working on microwaves as they are just to dangerous. I’d just replace it. Sounds like the exploding squash has shorted the machine out.
