When I connect my Garmin GPS to a car charger it goes into USB Mass Storage mode and cannot be used. It does not charge in this mode either. How do I fixed that?
It likely the mini usb connector on the gps unit, not the cable connectors. I have a 2595lm and it doesn’t matter what cable I use. I can reproduce the problem by lightly jiggling where the cable connects to the unit.
Okay, my partner had this issue with her sat nav when she connected a certain charger to it. I worked out that the reason why this happened was because it wasnt the official charger. (worked out through trial and error). Are you using a charger made for the sat-nav or a third party usb cord? If this helped plese vote this answer! ryan
