I’ve tried playing my tiger woods 2004 game and it’s says won’t read disc, so I bought another one and tried it thinking cd was bad, that one says the same thing. Won’t read disc, all my other games work in it.
Hi @darthkylomaul If it’s not reading disks that usually means that your disk drive is at fault Before we replace it I would try cleaning the laser as that can cause disks not to read(the laser is found where the disk is inserted and it looks like a little clear window,clean with isopropyl alcohol) If that doesn’t work I would follow this guide to take it out and see if there is any dust or damage on the inside PlayStation 2 Slimline Optical Drive Replacement If it still isn’t working you will have to replace the disk drive Here’s a link to the part https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144644454924?… The part is quite expensive so it might be worth looking for a donor console Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)
