Chosen Solution
I used game shark on my Pokémon silver and at first it was working perfectly got unlimited master ball and the first Pokémon code I put in worked caught it saved and hit button on game shark to go back to gameshark menu and put different Pokémon catch code in and once I tried going back to the actual game the screen just went blank(white) so I turned off consol took game out of the gameshark and tried just the game without the gameshark and now it’s just white and game will not work at all…. any ideas on how to fix?
The problem with devices like the Game Shark is they do mess up save files beyond repair if you use conflicting codes - generally, once you damage the save there’s not much you can do but start over. Have a cheat save and a no cheat save next time :(. If the game doesn’t want to load, the save you did it on is so corrupt it cannot boot. Refer to this guide to open the cartridge, remove the battery and replace it. Run it without the battery to be sure the saves are gone. However, it may be possible to erase the saves by doing it before the game loads.
