Hello, I was using my galaxy s8 last night and I got a low battery notification so I plugged it into my official Samsung charger my phone stayed at around 5% and slowly dropped over the course of around 30 minutes until it hit zero and died. I left it charging overnight and I am unable to get it to turn on. I have tried every button combination and can’t get it into download mode or any other recover screen. I am guessing that it has something to do with the I/O Daughterboard (charging port) so I am guessing that’s what needs to be replaced but looking for more suggestions
It is rare for charge ports to go bad in samsungs that use USB C but it does happen. I would try to use a wireless charger to see if you can charge up the device and get it powered on. I know some galaxies do have issues with power management chips. If you can get it powered on, at least try to back up your data.
