By accident I broke one of my interconnect cables: Picture: http://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/igi… After reassembling, everything seems to work. What are the functions of the upper and lower interconnect cables in the iPhone 5?
The straight one is for cellular diversity. Faulty one impacts cellular reception and download speed. The one with 2 turns is GPS interconnect. Without this the navigation will not work These two do not have anything to do with wifi at all
hi its a Interconnect Cable for antenna probably you can face some issues with reception of cellular or wifi signals. also you can have a look the this link it shows how to install a new one if yours iphone has a broken one now. What if the 2 turns break down? Will it show sign of No SIM even though I had insert a SIM card?
Jayson make sure you time and date is correct then put in airplane mode for 10 seconds and it should recognise sim
- The straight cable is related to cell signal strength. [Such as No SIM/No Service] The angled cable is related to GPS signal strength. [For Map]’''
I broke straight cable’s head when I tried to push it up. But after all wifi signal is working as well as cellular signal. At first, iPhone shuts down every minute. Then I decided to shut it off for few minutes and try back on. As I do, it works fine. I don’t know what the problem is. There must be something else.
