So I have 2 Iphones 8 to replace glass, bought two frames with glass, description didn’t however say it was pre-installed with OCA. I assume I can’t even try to put LOCA on the OCA sheet pre-installed? removing it seems a big hassle as well. So i guess I have to buy new ones? Really no economic benefit just changing glass on I8 but wanna try on these before I go to more expensive units. Please advise.
how much money are you trying to save by DIY?i’ve used a couple of sellers on ebay that do glass replacement for $20~$30, depending on model and size. look up wenzhoutongxin and/or jastylez083. i’ve used both of them and they do quality work. while i am pretty well versed in iphone repairs and I have looked at the process of replacing display glass, and while i do believe i could probably do it, i’m concerned about how well the end product would look - bubbles, gaps, uneven adhesive application, etc. that it’s worth the extra bucks to get it done right vs get it done cheap. even if it cuts into the profits when i sell the phone. my humble $0.02
