I cracked the screen 6 months ago and had it replaced. Even since the front facing camera isn’t working correctly. It will take a picture but the image is not clear and the light around the object is distorted. It looks like there is a ghost in the picture. After looking at the repair videos, could it be the clear plastic ring that goes around the camera lens? Please advise what would fix this problem. Thanks
Sounds like the picture window is dirty. Take the LCD off and the prox out of its ring (if the ring is intact) and clean the window with a Q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol. If this does not fix it then the screen will need replaced. This just happens with aftermarket parts sometimes. The glass just isn’t high enough quality and ends up being slightly opaque.
