So I recently repaired my iPhone 6s+ after the screen cracked. I ordered the glass + LCD replacement kit from repair parts plus and everything was great. I transferred over all the small parts from the old screen (including the front camera) to this new LCD. After checking the front camera, however, I see that the quality is not as good as it was before. It’s useable, but looks like an Android quality front camera; can’t capture details. The quality gets worse with front flash. I’ve opened up the phone again and made sure everything was how it was supposed to be, and even gently cleaned the camera once again. There are no scratches on the camera, it looks brand new. Id really like to fix this issue and get the good quality back on the front camera. The only explanation I can think of is that maybe this new replacement glass isn’t perfectly clear or maybe the diameter of the transparent circle over the front camera is a millimeter too small. Please let me know your thoughts!
Is this a preassembled screen with front camera already installed? If yes, you may need to transfer the front camera from the old screen into the new one.
Try removing the plastic cup for the front camera, it’s not needed, if this doesn’t help then try the camera hanging off the screen, if it’s still bad then order a new front camera.
I have the same issue. We’re you able to fix it? If yes, how?
I also have the same problem with Samsung A10 though it started immediately after i replaced the screen which had cracked badly off but at that time my front camera was working just fine.
Android is not a camera but software
