I did the battery replacement and everything is working perfectly fine except for my front camera and private speaker, which both don’t work. In addition, the phone heats up very fast almost whenever I use it for more than a minute, and when I feel where the source of heat is, it’s on the top right where they are and it is hot. Then when I feel towards the bottom of the phone, it’s barely warm.
I would check the cable that goes from the motherboard (with the display cables) to the front facing camera assembly. Try reseating the connector first (you want a nice solid and satisfying clicking noise) and if that doesn’t work, you have to replace the whole cable. Just have to be careful when you lift the screen out to not lift it more than 45-50 degrees up, and then disconnect the display. It’s a couple extra steps, but when you’re working on anything in the housing it’s worth the extra safety.
Sounds to me like something is shorting out, since you stated that it gets very hot.
