Hi all… I replaced the screen and the battery on an iPhone 5s recently. Afterwards, only the bottom microphone will work. I opened the phone back up and double checked the connections but still no function to the rear or front microphones. Is there a chanced the new screen part could be defective? Any and all ideas are appreciated.
Sounds to me like something may have been damaged during the replacement or you may just need to calibrate the battery. Often times after a repair of that type some issues may occur but sometimes calibrating the battery helps. To calibrate follow these steps: 1)force restart the phone by pressing and holding down the power button and home button until you see the apple logo appear 2)release the buttons and then repeat step one a few more times. Try five times to be safe. Afterwards try using the microphones again and see if it helps.
