I’ve got a stacked combo unit, Frigidaire FEX831CS0 that started making a humming noise. It will fill with water and drain water, but won’t spin or agitate. I pulled the front panel off to find a shredded drive belt.
However, below the wash basin, it looks like there’s some fluid in there. Any ideas of what this is? Does it just collect over time? Or when the belt shredded did it damage something?
Erik Olsen that can be an accumulation of humidity etc. which is not at all uncommon. It is also possible that this comes through a pinhole leak from the main seal on the agitator shaft. It still looks pretty good and I would have no issue with just replacing the belt. Decent video about the repair on here
