I have a Frigidaire dishwasher and the dishwasher will fill with water and as the wash cycle starts the dishwasher empties and the water and will never refill. Once the rinse cycle starts it does the same thing will fill with water and once the rinse cycle starts it starts draining immediately and never refills This is an older Frigidaire dishwasher powerwasher 5500
Hi @codygross1991 , Does the circulation pump operate at all? Check the position of the spray arms (align them to a set position) before starting the dishwasher and then when it has stopped after draining to see if they have moved. Don’t know the answer but was wondering if the timer - part #8 Control and console parts may be the problem by not giving any time for the wash or rinse action. It shows as no longer available but if you search online using the part number (8057407) only they are available example only. Also check behind the kickplate (toeplate?) to see if there is a “tech sheet” there. If so this may show how to get into the diagnostic mode in the dishwasher which may help to find the problem. There seems to be 4 model variants so hopefully I’ve linked the correct model and parts page. Hopefully a start.
