Chosen Solution
I have a sega cd model 1 (bios 1.10). The sega cd will turn on, but freezes at the bios screen. The lights on it never flash or turn on. However if you leave it for 5 secs then disconnect the power form the sega cd unit, the genesis will start playing music but nothing else happens. I already tried cleaning the connection contacts on both the genesis and the sega cd. Can anyone help?
I went through this it was a nightmare! Had to recap every board and reflow all bad looking Solder joints Then check all ribbon cables for shorts And finally got it running
