Dear Sir/Mam, My ps3 hanging anytime depends on its mood. once its gets heat its hanging then hangs again. it takes 30/minutes to 1 hour some time more then one hour depends whats running in it.. . Reboiling done. screen gets shattered and have to restart it. i am a user so whatever repairing master said to me i am telling. . he done many things. but it still hangs. he was talking something about gpu that perhaps he don’t want to touch bcs there is risk. The person repairing it saying there is a stella (name) steel upon the IC which is attached to RAM of that IC , And when we try to remove that stella steel then sometime half ram can be broken with stella and IC becomes dead. So there is risk of system dead. guide me what to do. thanks
PlayStation 3 Heat Sink Replacement Follow that and once you get the heatsink off, clean off the old thermal paste with isopropyl alchocol and a q-tip and then apply some new stuff.
