Bought it a couple years ago on ebay. Seller didn’t have password. There’s about 90 gb of music on it I’d like to keep. All I want to do is create my own password, delete some of the music and add some more of my own. Right now, all I can do is listen to the music on the iPod. iTunes does not recognize the machine and neither will my pc. Help, please!

Similar to the iPod Volume Lock PIN reset hack we will need to open iPod file-system and change the file where the device stores its lock settings as shown below: Connect your iPod to your computer. Make sure you have enabled viewing of Hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer, if not Open Windows Explorer -> Tools (Menu) -> Folder Options -> View -> Show hidden files and folders. Open “My Computer” and then double-click your iPod device icon to open its file-system, now navigate to folder “iPod_Control” -> “Device” folder. iPod Disk Drive You will see a file named _locked rename this to _unlocked, now to reset the password open the file in notepad and delete all contents in it and save. iPod Folder Location Reset iPod Screenlock Now, Eject the iPod and reset it.

Look I left the ipod on my bed and my 2 yr old sister got to it and locked it and I don’t know the passcode so I really need your help
