I have a new 600s top loading kenmore washer and my mother-in-law leaned over the top and got a necklace stuck in the space between the drum and the basket. When she raised up it pulled the charm off her necklace and it slid down inside the drum, but under the basket. Is there a practical way to access that space (ie remove the basket from inside the drum) to retrieve the object? If not, are there any mechanical parts in that space where they attach together at the bottom (open gears, etc) that might be damaged or interfered with if we run the washer with the charm in that space?

@tlindamood there is enough space between the drum and the tub to tolerate a small object. Should not interfere with things. Nothing in there that could bind the drum etc.
