My laptops gl502vs get forced shutdown when i use it to play spotify, the power indicator always on but my laptops very quiet with no fans running. the only one who get hot it’s just the block of chipset besides of that everything is cold I have tried Remove battery and discharge then try again Remove 1 then 2 RAM piece / exchange places Pls help this laptop is very meaning full for me :( I’m really waiting for an answer from you all Thanks b4 :)
@fadhlndko It could be anything. It may be in the power supply circuits for example. Something getting hot when nothing is turned on indicates too much current flowing when perhaps it shouldn’t be that much. As I said having the schematic is the only way to find the cause. An authorized Asus repair service should have these available to them (but not to the public) and can advise on the repair. Depends how much you’re willing to spend. You may be able to recoup some of the cost of a new laptop by selling off all the other removable parts, e.g. display, case, keyboard etc
