I was replacing the battery and made the mistake of going too far in and damaged the LCD. I’ve already replaced the battery and ordered a new display assembly but I noticed that the foam padding underneath the display (the one with the Xs) has peeled off significantly. A lot of it is stuck to display and other parts has been scratched or rubbed off, by me. Does the foam padding have any function? Should I just remove the rest of the padding?
Hello, Ask this to yourself. Is it worth it getting rid of the foam or is it needed? Because it all comes down to it. The foam is there for a reason and if that’s going to be a problem you should send it for repair. If the cost is too high then it’s all up to you want to do with it. Hope it helps. Cheers!
