I have a FLIROne Pro for IOS that attaches to the iPhone for thermal image photos. The lightning connection broke off can this be repaired ?

@beemom take a look on here How to fix a dead FLIR ONE and see if yours opens up in a similar manner. If so that would be the way to get to the board and the connector. Problem will be to find a replacement. “Apple Lightning Connectors” are available at places like Alibaba.com and others but due to their size etc. some good soldering skills will be required. We would need to see more of the board and how the connector is attached. You may also consider using a connector from a lightning cable or even create cable connection instead of a direct connection. FLIR does not repair their devices if they are not covered under warranty. They will only replace. Adding images to an existing question

Lightning connectors usually just desolder themselves—-you can probably fix it with a soldering iron, solder, flux, and some epoxy, then use a flexible lightning extender to attach the camera to the phone in the future.

I broke the connector and I was able to replace and solder another connector which I recovered from a cable. The connections seem ok, I’ve checked and measured them one by one, but the phone does not recognise the camera. Did anyone else experienced this?

Ive same issue. Though I took it apart and found it’s a simple push on connection within the unit. 4 screws and it was apart and now attempting to contact flir

Bummer! So now the question is can you find another broken one on eBay which has a good connector assembly and can you swap the part out? I contacted flir, I had the same issue, they said they will not sell replacement parts, the push connector to the circuit board has J2 stamped on it with a standard cell phone type cable that ends with a lightning connector. Any luck finding this part? Update (04/17/2021)

here is a picture of it, I tried soldering a extension from a cut off apple lighting cable but the wires are too darn thin for my soldering skills at least.
