Bought the computer with a loose screen hinge, stagelight and a flickering display (usually in one side). Used to push the screen in to make it work. Found out the back of the screen was not glued. So I was able to open and see what I was pressing on. I have an LG display, not sure if it’s a replacement. Anyway, it’s a ribbon that seems to be loose (last pic). Is there a way the seat the ribbon permanently without opening too much of the Macbbok? Also is the board that is under the black tape installed correctly? It is screwed above the clips but I think it may go underneath it. I have another OEM screen to swap as well as an option.

Sadly, its time for a new display either the LCD panel its self or the full display assembly. What you are seeing is a failed T-CON board connection. I have yet to find a way to secure it without replacing it. Here’s the needed part 13” MacBook Pro Display Assembly (Recycled), Apple P/N 661-5868
