Hi! I ordered a vintage Mr. Mouth online and it worked well for a half hour but now the head isn’t rotating. Any chance someone knows how to fix this?
It could have got easily stuck, try to rotate the head when the toy is on. If you hear grinding the motor is about to burn up and turn the toy off, if this happens you’ll need a new motor.
I had similar problem. Basically the gears inside get detached. Inside the mouth is a cover over the gears. A post down the center holds the cover in place, as well as three small screws. The post will not budge. So I used a utility knife to cut the plastic ring around the post. Then remove the three screws, remove the lid, and access the gears. You can figure out how they fit together. Realign the gears and reassemble the lid.
