I’m replacing an iPhone 7 plus for the first time for a friend, I feel pretty confident but I’m reading all of these issues where; if the screen isn’t from Apple, it won’t turn on. Or the screen enters a boot loop, or issues with the 3D touch, and not to mention the Home Button issue. Do you have any tips? Should I replace the screen if is past iOS 12? Thanks!

Screen issues are usually just cause by a bad replacement screen. I generally don’t have problems with touch on aftermarket screens unless it’s a faulty screen. Follow this guide for doing a screen replacement: iPhone 7 Plus Screen Replacement I recommend putting some isopropyl alcohol 99% under the home button cable when removing it to make the adhesive easier to move.

Be careful opening the phone up, don’t put anything under far enough to tear the homebutton flex! Disconnect battery first, then the other connectors, be careful when removing homebutton from old sceen. when putting the heatshield on the back of the new screen align the flex cables up like they were on the original or the screen wont sit right and you have a pressure mark.
