screen boots up to main menu, yet remote will not move highlight, it no longer makes a noise when trying to go up or down to access different channels, so we can no longer access netflix, amazon tv, Movies etc. bought new fire stick, and still will not change channels. Update (08/26/2017) I already switched the batteries, and when the new remote showed up, I used those and another set of batteries, and neither the old nor new remote worked the cursor.
The old one’s batteries where likely bad and the new would need pairing. The manual that came with it will show you how to do both of these things. Hope this helps!
