Hi, I heard a small pop from where the PCB controller sits, my unit now wont turn on. I have taken the PCB out and cant really see what the problem is, no signs of any scorch marks or the such, any ideas? or does anyone know where I could take it for repair (Stockport/ Manchester UK) thanks Dave

Look for a capacitor issue on this PSU. Use a multimeter to test for continuity. Look for expanded tops, swelling and/or corrosion or leakage of the caps. Repale the faulty ones.

Hi Dave. Dont know how old this is but did you ever manage to get it working. Could you let me know if you got it working and how? Or if you got it fixed? As I am in the local area too.

Hi Jay, its with a friend of a friend at the moment, he has a quick look and spent 50p ( a diode and a chip)on parts, i havnt got it back yet as he is on holiday, I’ll let you know how i get on, cheers

Hi Dave, Sorry to bump this post from the dead. I had the exact same issue. I believe it’s one of them safety capacitors on the board which blew. When I investigated myself, I could see some burning around one of them. They look kind of like this: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/… (this is not the one, however) Was you able to replace it?
