Chosen Solution
I am using the orignal fast charger and lead to recharge my phone. It is 14 months old. When I plug it in to recharge now it goes to slow charge and takes 5 hours and only after unplugging and plugging several times can I finally get it to fast charge.
Clean the port with a bit of IPA on a bit of qtip. Let me know if it helps.
