My ps3 fan speed very fast and loud when am playing a game so what could be wrong?
I don’t think anything is wrong here. The fans are supposed to speed up when under load to regulate the temperature inside. However, it might be worth having the console do a self-clean, which is a good way to clean it without risking opening it up. To do this, unplug the power from the system. Next, hold the Eject button and plug the console back in, without releasing Eject. The fan should make a loud noise, and it may shoot dust and debris out of the rear vents. Hope that helps!
When the fan throttles up it means that the CPU/GPU is getting hotter, so it needs to move more air. It could be REALLY dusty, since if there’s dust in the cooling fins, it reduces the heatsink effectiveness. If you’re willing to, pop it open, grab a can of compressed air, and clean the sucker out! Good luck!
