Hi! Yesterday while on my MBP, the fan kicked into overdrive, and the track pad stopped working. The display and keyboard both work. No chime when I try resetting the PRAM. Tried resetting the SMC several times too. It takes a millennia to restart or do anything else. Nothing has been spilled on that I can remember. Is the tracking pad causing this, or is it something else? Thanks for the help, it’s appreciated! Matt
OK, we know what it isn’t. Still need to dig a bit deeper as you still have a sensor failing at this point it’s looking like a voltage sensor which is located on the logic board. Have you tried running the onboard diagnostics? Restart the system and press the D key you should be able to test your system. Did you get any errors? Tell us what you got.
