Tried all the options, then ran a diagnostic run and the following errors 4MOT/4/400000003:HDD-1214 and a second run has the error HDD-1247. Grateful for any advice. Thanks and regards
Is the system still using its original drive? Often I see this fan failing because people push it to hard with fan control software. If this is a replacement drive then you really want to use OWC In-line Digital Thermal Sensor for iMac 2011 Hard Drive Upgrade. I don’t recommend software solutions as they damage your fans or if not properly set you can damage your logic board. The Error: 4MOT/4/400000003:HDDis the HDD fan has failed iMac Intel 27" (Late 2009-Mid 2011) Hard Drive Fan Apple P/N 922-9872. The fan is located behind the logic board.
