The Contact Pin on the back of the watch have faded away on my watch, making it impossible to charge. Anyone else have that problem?

I had the same problem just last week. Today I went to Fry’s to buy a Circuit Writer. Cost about $20. It’s a conductive pen that’s similar to a paint pen. I cleaned the back of the watch. Then used the pen to cover the faded areas of the contact pins, waited for it to dry, plugged it in, and BOOM… now IT CHARGES!

You can by the Charging Conectors for the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 (SM-R380), Gear 2 Neo (SM-R381) http://rounded.com/ cost is $10.82 each Or in e-Bay for $15.00 I just order three as this part wears out with the wrist hand sweat.

Now they are selling that part itself on ebay for about 6USD. search for “New Original Charging Charger Connector For Samsung SM-R380 SM-R381 Gear 2 Neo” on ebay.

Guys I just cleaned dead skin off it and then light dabs the back pins with some water and dried it and now it charges just fine

I have had the same problem and have had to send in my watch 3 differing times with the same issue. The good thing is each time samsung has replaced my watch head each time. My advise would be don’t add nail polish as it may void the warranty.

I just currently had this problem and looked at all your answers but finally found the charging part on Google and that went to ebay and cost US $6.10 that’s about AU$8 and its just take the back off change the part over and put the back on again

I tried covering the front of the contacts with copper adhesive band and it worked but a bit unstable as internal contacts require leveling.
