The FaceTime camera was working then stopped. No previous repairs that I know of. Haven’t dropped the MBP; sits on my desk most of the time. Ideas? BeetsTech has a camera connector ($6 bucks) or a screen ($367 bucks) for replacement. Anyway to differentiate which may be causing the problem? (Haven’t been to the Genius Bar for their deep diagnostics.) Pls advise. Thank you. Mike Noonan
If the facetime camera needs to be replaced you would need to replace the screen as it’s not really feasible to separate the display assembly without damaging the screen. I recommend checking the Camera / iSight / Facetime cable to see if it is fully seated in, maybe by chance it gotten partially disconnected over time.
