Hello everyone, I have a problem With an iPhone 5C. The Facetime camera does not work on any app (Photo, Facetime, Snapchat…) I’ve change it and it still doesn’t work with a ne piece (I’ve tried 5 different flexes) I tried to reset the settings, reset the devices and it still doesn’t work. Do anyone had this problem ? Thank you !

Please remember to ensure all connections are snug, and you do a hard reset after each replacement. if you have tried 5 flexes from a trusted supplier, then i would follow the steps below.

  1. Try replacing the other camera: the circuits in iphone cameras are linked, and sometimes, a small discrepency in the other camera can be the cause of a fault in the one you are struggling with.
  2. Damaged or missing components: Using a microscope for this helps. scan the board for missing components, or scratches and chips out of ICs, and coils.
  3. Reflow the FPC Connector on the board: Make sure there are no damaged pins, and reflow the connector to ensure connection to the board.
  4. use a multimeter to check for continuity of the coils (Resisters, inductors, caps, etc) around the connector for your camera flex, and replace any that are not getting a full circuit.
