I have an XR that I replaced the screen/Frame on and now Face ID will not work. I do not receive an error, and I am able to start the Face ID setup, but when I go to add a face it just doesn’t recognize it. Anyone know how to fix this or what could be going on?
If you have another camera on hand, go through FaceID setup and point the camera at the top of the device. You should see a blinking light through the camera. If that blinking light doesn’t appear there’s damage to the ear speaker assembly, the part you transferred from the old screen to the new one. If that’s working as it should, open it back up and adjust the front facing camera module and make sure it’s pushed up towards the top of the phone. Sometimes that can slide down and not align properly.
