Hi, my iPhoneX face ID got damaged by water(little water drop enter in the ear speaker), I tried ifixit trouble shooting it says if the approximate light sensor is not working the portrait mode will not work, my iPhone approximate light sensor is working normally and still the portrait mode doesn’t work, animoji is working normally, auto brightness, I test call, everything works. Can you please tell me what’s wrong? Thank You.
try removing it from the screen and cleaning the sensor and inside of the screen very carefully with some 99% isopropyl and a qtip and then reinstall and test. if it still doesn’t work then the only repair options involve microsoldering and have a 50% success rate at best
