Screen replaced with OEM part. Face ID intialises but is not working as it should. When user rotates head during setup, it only picks up around 3/4 of the Face. Other times it can’t find a Face and just blues. Any ideas? Checked connections, restarted phone etc. I don’t believe the cable has become damaged as it is not saying ‘Face ID unavailable’.

  1. If your face doesn’t match 5 times.
  2. If you iPhone X charge is 10% or below .
  3. It might not work if you just switched on the device or restarted it .
  4. Since 48hours if you haven’t unlocked the iPhone X
  5. After 6 1/2 days if you are given a 4 hours time and if you do not unlock with Face id in those 4hours, a    passcode is generated once you try unlocking .

  2. check face id setting.
  3. reset face id.
  4. re-starting iPhone X
  5. make sure you are directly facing trueDepth
  6. reset all settings

there is an infared camera on the left side and a dot projector on the right side. you need to adjust one of the 2. most likely one of them is just not aligned just right in the cutout.
