May I use this in my iMac? ; https://www.kingston.com/en/ssd/consumer… Will it work out of the box? Do I only need a 2,5 - 3,5" adaptor? Thanks all :D

Instead of swapping out your HD for a SSD why don’t you just add it as a second drive. This series has a spare SATA port! Follow this IFIXIT guide: Installing iMac Intel 27" EMC 2390 Dual Hard Drive Kit and heres the full kit you’ll need: iMac Intel 27" Mid 2010 Dual Hard Drive Kit you still need the SSD drive. Make sure the SSD you get is able to run at SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) as that is what the system requires for any drive you put in. Another option here is to swap out your current HD for a hybrid drive (SSHD) which has the deep storage of a traditional HD and the speed of a SSD in one device. This is the drive you want: Seagate SSHD If you do go with a HD to SSD swap out you do have to adapt the 2.5" drive to fit the 3.5" frame you’ll need this: OWC 2.5" to 3.5" Drive Adapter Bracket For either you’ll need to supply a replacement thermal sensor for the system to manage the fans correctly, you’ll need this: OWC In-line Digital Thermal Sensor for iMac 2009-2010 Hard Drive Upgrade Here’s the IFIXIT guide you’ll need to follow for either: iMac Intel 27" EMC 2390 Hard Drive Replacement|iMac Intel 27" EMC 2390 Hard Drive Replacement]
