I have a partner stereo vsx-453 everything’s been working fine I go to turn up the volume with my remote today and it doesn’t work I’ll try to replace the batteries everything possible even try to hook up another remote to it and it does the same thing so what can I do to fix this
Does the volume work otherwise? Pioneer volume control is known to malfunction, when it is turned up it goes wild & when volume is turned down it keeps going up. I took mine out & it had some loose soldering. If the volume is fine manually then it may be the remote needs a good apart cleaning or a new one. Smell the remote & knob for a burnt smell, if you smell something burnt that is the most likely issue. Original Pioneer remotes are easily available online. Good luck
