Hey, I have a Lenovo ideapad 330 i5 8th Gen laptop running windows 11 Pro version 21H2. Recently I realize it no longer connects via Ethernet, only through wifi. I’ve troubleshooted my router and connect other computers using the same Ethernet cable with no issues, which leads me to think it’s something wrong with the laptop. I’ve done a few troubleshooting like trying to see if a driver needs to be updated but to no success. I’m hoping someone here can help. I’ll attach pictures showing my network adapters and laptop details.
Hi @shammoya Check that the Ethernet adapter is still turned on. Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters > right click Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller > Properties > Power Management and uncheck the box marked Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power > OK. Close the Device Manager window and restart the PC in the normal manner and check if the Ethernet is now working.
