Hi, My ethernet jack on my laptop is not working properly and only works when I push at a certain angle, I opened it up to see what the port looks like and see if I can find a replacement that will fit. Here is the photo of the jacky as you can see it has extra pins apart from the 8 standard rj45 connector pins.

Does anyone know what these are for or are they just for support? Thanks

Hi, The extra connections may be for the LED lights next to the RJ45 jack if it has any. Here’s a schematic of the RJ45 setup from a Dell 7470 ( LA-461P motherboard - I couldn’t find a free schematic for a 7270 LA-451P motherboard ) which shows the connections. Hopefully they are similar. The part number is 130456-511 but I had no joy when searching for it either.
