I have taken appart the sieve/ portafilter and I can’t seem to be able to reassemble the filter. The answer you have posted does not apply to my style of portafilter. Please help. I would attach a photo but can’t seem to find an option for that.
It’s 2 1/2 years later but just in case you are still interested in this, you can find a great video on YouTube that takes you through disassembly, cleaning and reassembly. Spare parts are available on cafeparts dot com and coffeesection dot com including a compete rebuild kit. Good luck.
